Dear SINHG Members and friends,

The Seabrook Island Natural History Group has issued another great lineup of trips and programs for the 2012 spring season. Spring is our busiest season starting with the famous Soup Supper on Friday, January 20. We will have 32 trips for all member interests, three more excellent evening speakers, and the grand finale Fish Fry in May. SINHG has become a wonderful educational effort and a fun way to meet with new and old friends. Our support of local area environmental education also continues to grow. In addition to supporting Haut Gap Middle School students, we are providing environmental science materials to the Mt. Zion Elementary School, a nd a science fair day to Frierson Elementary. Turtle learning stations have been added to Seabrook's beaches and more are in the works.

If you have not yet become a member for this year (June 2011 through May 2012) the 2011-2012 Membership/Volunteer Form is available on this website. This form should be submitted with your dues by mail to our Membership Chair, Kathy Maher. Remember that trip requests can't be processed without your membership.

Trip information and Selection Forms are now available under the Trips tab and should be submitted to our Trip Coordinator, Ellen Coughlin not later than January 6, 2012. Please adhere to the requested deadlines so the spring trips can start on schedule. Keep watch (under Programs) for the new schedule of evening speaker programs, which will start in February. Registration is now open for the Soup Supper. Go to Events/Soup Supper and print the registration form to mail with your check. Seating is limited to the first 250 registrants.

Please visit the website for lots of good information as the year progresses. We are looking forward to another great season of educational activities, environmental support and social fun. Come along and enjoy!
