Evening Programs
Evening Programs meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Seabrook
Island Lake House. Gathering begins at 7pm and the programs start at 7:30pm.
Coffee and cookies are generally available during the gathering time.

- Ashton Cobb
- Author of Kiawah Island A History.
Mr. Cobb spent his summers growing up on Kiawah in his great-grandmother's
summer home on Eugenia Ave. He developed a great interest in the island that
inspired his research and this book.

- Mary Whyte
- Ms. Whyte is a nationally known water color artist, author,
illustrator and teacher. She is the author and illustrator of
Alfreda's World which documents her friendship with a quilting group
comprised of longtime residents of Johns Island and descendents of slaves.
Ms. Whyte's work is displayed in her husband's gallery, Coleman Fine Art on
Church Street in Charleston. They reside on Seabrook Island.
Her most recent series entitled "Working South" portrays workers in
selected dying professions such as cotton pickers and shrimpers and will
be in exhibition at the Greenville Museum in 2011.

results of his fall Seabrook deer survey.
