This is a new offering to the SINHG community. In this 2-hour class we are going to experience hands on cooking of a traditional Low Country favorite. This Shrimp & Grits experience will highlight the flavors and uniqueness of Gullah-Geechee culture. We will learn how to make those wonderful Southern Biscuits. Beverages of tea or water will enhance the experience. Our hostess and chef, a Native of the Sea Islands of South Carolina, loves having the opportunity to share Gullah-Geechee culture through food. We will be cooking in her professional kitchen on James Island. Note, closed toe shoes, standing, the use sharp instruments and hot ingredients are to be expected.
