Step into the world of breadmaking with this immersive, beginner-friendly class that highlights three iconic styles of bread. Guided by Andrea Pharis, you’ll gain hands-on experience working with yeasted doughs while building confidence in essential techniques such as mixing, kneading, shaping, proofing and baking. Andrea combines her extensive baking and pastry experience with a love of teaching and is a partner at Chefs Collective in Charleston, which is a fully equipped kitchen hosting hands-on cooking workshops. By the end of our class, you’ll not only leave with fresh baked breads to enjoy, but also a strong foundation in bread-making fundamentals – equipping you to re-create these recipes and explore new ones in your own kitchen. No prior experience is required – just a love of great bread! While enjoying a lunch of heavy snacks we will bake and then each take home freshly baked focaccia, yeast rolls and a rustic boule. The workshop will be held at 845B Orleans Road in West Ashley.
